The company began life as the 2^nd Scarborough Company – Wesley Platoon at Wesley Methodist Church in Scarborough in January 1999. The company has gone from strength to strength, growing into one of the largest companies in The Yorkshire County Battalion.

The company opened its doors starting with Anchors and over its first year expanded quickly with The Junior Section opening in late 1999 and The Company Section in 2001.

After our original home closed down, the company moved to Queen Street Methodist Central Hall in 2006 and became The 5^th Scarborough Company.

In 2007,  Chris Bairstow, the founding Captain resigned and our current Captain Mike Colbeck took over. 

The company currently have over 45 members and now has a very strong Senior section with  several of our young men earning their Queen's Badge, the highest award in The Boys' Brigade
